I have been very lax in updating this blog but I wanted to get the news out there that I have 2 litters of boys that are 4 week and 2 week of age right now.  After the Holidays they will be ready to go to homes for anyone that may be interested.  I believe a couple of them may even be suited for performance work.  You can reach me at the email address Hihopesyrks@gmail.com anytime and I am usually available for calls evenings and weekends.  My information is also listed on YTCA site under breeders in CT. 
My next plan is to get some pictures of these litters, however the puppies on this site are very typical of what the puppies that I breed look like.  All come from pedigrees with Champion lines and all see a vet before leaving to help insure their health.

DANI and CASH DOB 10/20/2015

This is Dani's latest litter seen here at 5 1/2 weeks.  All girls this time!! There is only one left available and I will be taking deposits the weekend before Christmas when they are 8 weeks old.  Nice healthy  girls but not tiny.  Finally something that I can keep and use for showing and breeding with any luck:)   Dani has always given me little girls that I just couldn't use for either breeding or showing, so I am excited about keeping one for myself.

Since the picture was taken we have started working with getting the ears up and now they are pretty much weaned from mom.  So by 8 weeks they will have their first puppy shot and I should know who is going to stay and who gets to go to a loving home by mid January.

SMALL FEMALE AVAILABLE!!!!! NEW HOME FOUND 11/15/2015

I have decided to let a 7 mos old female go to a pet home.  Unfortunately her picture is on my phone and due to technical problems I cannot get the photo to load on the blog.  She was born April 11 and both her parents are finished AKC champion dogs.  She is lovely both in appearance and temperment.
My reason for letting her go is strictly due to her size.  I have made it my rule here that I don't breed girls that are what I consider too small.  I never fail to have anxiety whenever I have a litter due and a female that is less than 4.75 pounds (even that size is worrisome) is more than I want to stress over.
It is hard on me and more so on her.  This little girl is barely 4 pounds and not really gaining much as time has gone on.  She is healthy, socially well adjusted and loves attention from everyone.  She is also crate trained and has been exposed to outside on a regular basis.  Since my daughter breeds Shelties and I reside with her, she is used to lots of other dogs being around. She has had all her vaccines and was checked by a vet when the litter was 12 weeks.  She was my pick of the litter.

I assure you that if I believed she would get close to 5 pounds I would keep her here.  I unfortunately cannot keep everything  with me so I have to make these difficult decisions.  She has been here this long because I was waiting and hoping that she would reach an acceptable size for me to hold on to.

DANI X DEXTER BOY PUPPY

 I have no name yet because I am waiting for my new home and family.  I am ready now for that special family to find me so I can give you lots of love and companionship for many years to come.  GREAT NEWS!!!  This boy has his new home. He currently is filling a hole left by a yorkie who passed away. They love him and he is so happy getting so much love😍.

 I have so much to offer.  I love people, children and even other dogs.  I am happy and playful and can take lots of long walks and play with you and all my new toys.

Dexter X Dani Litter Born April 11, 2015

Okay, we finally have a few pictures of the puppies that are available for sale.  They are now 6 weeks of age and so far all are under 2 pounds right now.

Both of these pictures are of the 2 boys that are just slightly smaller.  The little guy on the left tens to be a little more shy and quiet at least right now.  Since they are only 6 weeks alot can change before going to their new home.

These 2 pictures are of a girl (on the left) and a boy.  Both are pretty closely matched both in size and personality.  I believe these 2 will likely be in the range of about 6 pounds as adults.  Both are very happy playful puppies.

This entire litter appears to be darker rather than light silver in color.  They will be getting their first puppy shot now and will have 3 done before leaving to their new homes.  They also go for a vet check up before leaving.  I plan to be available for visiting and deposits by the weekend of June 9. WE HAVE PUPPIES!!!


Born April 11, 2015

Mom is CH Hihopes Ready Set Go aka Dani and dad is CH Moonlights Vigilanty aka Dexter.

This is a litter of 5 puppies all born at a nice birth weight and all are thriving and look very promising.  I have no pictures yet but hope to have some very soon as they are already trying to get up and walk around.  Very wobbly right now but another week or so and they should have their feet firmly on the ground.

It's been a year since my last litters so I am pleased to have new puppies back in the house again.

The good news is that there are a couple more of the girls that have been bred and if everything goes as it should there will be more good news next month.  Can hardly wait since my girls have aged and I have very few left to do my breedings with.

PENNY AUGUST 31, 2014

This is Penny.  She is a 7 1/2 month old little girl that needs to find a loving companion home.  Her parents are both AKC Champion Yorkshire Terriers and she has a wonderful outgoing well socialized personality.  I have just made the decision to find her a new home due to her smaller size.  I do not like to breed small girls and even for the ring she just barely qualifies for size.  At this time she is just a little under 4 pounds and has been at this weight for a couple of months now.  She has had all her shots done and is crate trained as well as leash broken.  She only will need a spay done which, if she is here for awhile longer, I will likely get done myself.  I love this little dog for her winning temperament her gorgeous coat color and texture and her overall attitude.  She has never met a person or a dog she didn't like:).  It's a tough decision but I am all about doing what is best for the dogs as well as my breeding program.  I am asking 2500.00 and believe me she is worth every "Penny" of it.  Send me a message or feel free to call with any questions evenings or weekend.  You will not be disappointed with this little girl!! Just wanted to post a recent picture of Cash that was taken here at the house.  He is such a beautiful boy with a sweet temperament.

   Only a few more points until he is a Grand Champion. 

FOUND HIS HOME... DANI X CASH LITTER JANUARY 14, 2014

This is "Sheldon".  His name comes from the show Big Bang Theory.  He is a charming little guy with more personality than a whole litter of puppies.  He was promised as a probable show dog as he certainly has everything that would make him one.  Unfortunately due to unforeseen medical problems that person could not take him.  I would love to keep him myself but with limited space and because I just don't need another boy here I am letting him go to a good pet home.  He is about 4 pounds now and has all shots except his rabies at this time.  He has been vet checked and he is crate trained.  He plays outside in a puppy exercise area and is socially adjusted to other dogs and young children.  He just needs a good loving home.    UPDATE! SHELDON HAS A NEW HOME!!!  He is going to live in the big city of Boston.  Watch out Boston here comes Sheldon!!!

PIPPIN X GABE LITTER

Here are some early shots of the puppies that Pippin had on January 19, 2014.  There are 2 girls and 2 boys and I think they are all spoken for unless someone changes their mind of course....The smallest pups are both boys one smaller than the other and the 2 girls are almost equal in size at this point.  They are just beginning the weaning process and so far are not thrilled with mom not being available night and day. :(.  It just takes a little time for them to realize that she is not thrilled with their sharp little teeth that are beginning to pop through LOL.  Will try to get some new pictures up as they continue to grow and progress..

  Each picture has one boy and one girl in the pictures.

THE PUPPIES HAVE ARRIVED!!!!

The new litters have arrived at last.  Dani and Cash litter was born on January 14 with just one boy and one girl.  They are growing and thriving and almost have their eyes open.
 
Pippin and a Moonlight boy that is here for breeding had her litter on Sunday the 19th.  She was so big with puppies and required an emergency Sunday C-Section.  A HUGE ouch to the pocket book with that vet bill.  I think that per pound it costs more for these puppies than having a baby!!  She had a total of 5 but one boy did not make it through the process.  So we have 2 boys and 2 girls that seem to be coming along fine.  She made a speedy recovery from the surgery and you would never know it happened...  She is a trooper.

Roxie who was also bred for her final litter with a Moonlight boy went into labor on Friday at about midnight and delivered one boy puppy who never took a breath.  It was terribly sad for all especially her as she cried pitifully for her baby.  I took 2 of Pippin's litter and gently placed them with her and she has totally adopted them as her own.  She so loves being a mother. 

These are the things as a breeder of these little dogs we have to adapt to and accept.  It is never easy and the losses are hard.  But if I let each one break my heart I could never continue and I would not have the joy of seeing the cute little survivors turn into such loveable little puppies and adults. So we learn to move on.

Pictures should come along as they get a little older since they are now only little black and tan eating and sleeping pups.  Soon they will be up and around and fun to look at so have patience:).

Finally and this is harder perhaps then losing the newborn pups, I am letting a 9 month old girl go to a pet home.  I just love her cuteness and personality but at 9 months she weighs barely 4 pounds.  I cannot breed or show a dog this small and she needs to have the special love and attention that a family can provide for her.  I am going to post a picture as soon as I can get a nice daytime shot so that she can show off her adorable self.
  

Latest News

A couple of updates:
"Mario"  found his new home shortly before Christmas and has a new name "Teddy"  He is being loved by a family that had purchased a puppy from me many years ago and had to let her go to her home with the rest of the yorkies at Rainbow Bridge.  I am so happy for the family and for him.  Everything works out for the best.
Now I have puppies that will be arriving this month!!  Very exciting.  One litter will be from my new Champion Cash The Check.  He finished his championship earlier in December. He can be seen in earlier blogs.  I have two others coming from CH boys from a good friend of mine at Moonlight Yorkies.  Can't wait to see what I will have.
Just heard from Animal Planet and "TOO CUTE".  They tell me they are just finishing on the production of my episodes and I can expect to hear from them soon regarding a date perhaps sometime in March or April.  They promise to let me know!!

This is an updated photo of “Mario” at 7 months old now.  I have decided to find this sweet little boy a home.  As hard as it is to let him go sometimes it is necessary.  He is a great little guy.  He loves people and other dogs.  He is still very much puppy like and of course has all his vaccines on board.  He is in excellent health and only requires a neuter to be done. The roll of paper towels is to give you an idea of his size.  He is close to full grown at this age. I have just come to the decision that I cannot keep another boy here.  Since I am working on the career or my older boy I think it is the best interest of this happy little boy to let him have a home with a family to love him and give him a lifetime of love and attention.

Hihopes Pace Setter By Dumont

His call name is Mario for Mario Andretti since his mother is Dani named for the race car driver Danica Patrick.  His father is CH Dumont's Classic Act Bentley.  He looks a lot like his dad and has a lot of promise so far. 


This is "Poppy".  I haven't found her registered name yet but it will come.  Poppy is out of my girl Hihopes Sweet Child O Mine and Spenser for Hire of North Meadow.  She is a little on the shy side and needs to gain some confidence.  But her structure is very nice and she is a pretty girl.  If she is not slated for the conformation ring I know she will be good as a mother.  Just have to wait and see how it works out for her.

Dazzle X Viggo

Here is the single puppy that was born on July 28,2013 from Hihopes Razzle Dazzle Em and
Champion Hihopes Return of the King (Viggo). 

This little boy is 9 weeks today when the photo was taken and he has an outstanding personality.  His tail never stops and he is attitude all over!  I am sorry to make the decision to let him go to a new home but there is just not room here for another boy right now.  He is going to make the best pet for someone when he finds his new home.

Latest News

Good News!!
Patsy has found her forever home with a couple who are artists and has a wonderful life going to work with them and traveling too!  She has been renamed Pixel with Pixie for short.  She is adapting well and having a terrific time.

Roxie's pups are all going to their new homes in a couple of weeks so it will be quiet here on the puppy front for a little while.  Just have the single puppy from Dazzle and Viggo that needs his new home.  I need to get some pictures for the blog....hopefully a little later today.  He will be ready to leave at end of October so he is available now.  Although no brothers and sisters he is full of attitude and fun.  He just loves attention and people.  Always wagging that little tail and asking for some play time.  Very very happy little guy.

Roxie X Phantom Litter July 23, 2013

Ok, so here are some pictures of the new babies.  Not really new now as they are 6 weeks already...thought I would wait to  get the pictures to see if I could capture some shots when they would be a little easier to catch.  Hmmm I was wrong.  There is just no good way to get pictures of puppies that are always moving to look at something, find a spot they want or just being difficult to stay in place or without moving in some way.  So some are better than others but at least for those of you watching you will get an idea of what they all look like. (I hope)

News Flash

Over the last several weeks Animal Planet has been here filming for their new season of Too Cute.  They were filming a litter from the age of 2 weeks with eyes still closed until 12 weeks when puppies went to their new homes.  The Dani and Bentley litter were the featured attraction along with the herd of Guinea Hens and chicks that we have here in residence.  I can't wait to see the finished product!  They tell me it should air probably the beginning of the new year or perhaps at the end of this year.  I'll be sure to let you all know as soon as I hear.  They were a great crew and had tons of patience waiting for the shots they needed to put their story together.  We had a lot of fun and I learned a lot about how much work it is to get footage for our viewing pleasure.

New Puppies Arrived

Just to let everyone know there are new puppies here.  A litter 5 weeks and a single puppy litter that is 3 weeks old.  No pictures just yet but watch for them soon.  They are getting to the cute picture stage!!

Cash is a lovely boy that was bred from my Champion Hihopes My My My Delilah and Sugarmaple’s Champion Edgewood’s Reflection In Time (Cabot).  He is just the perfect size at about 5 pounds with the most delightful show attitude.  He is happiest in the ring showing off his stuff.  I am having so much fun with him.
GREAT NEWS!!!!  Cash finished his championship in December!!  Yea!  Now onto the Breed Ring for his Grand Championship!
